DC Integration

June 11th, 2007 — 10:07am

Well, here I am in DC and so far it seems that the show is going well.   I also happened to find an apartment in Arlington, VA near the Pentagon to hold up for at least the next year.

The apartment is nice I guess…as far as studio apartments go.  The upshot is that it’s pretty cheap rent for the area, it’s close to downtown, and most importantly I don’t have to share with a roommate.

The job front is a little sketchy right now.  I’m not sure what I’ll be doing to get through the next few months.  This is of course assuming I get the job at the new theatre that opens in August, The Harmon Kardon Center of the Performing Arts.  If that doesn’t work out then I must assume I will be freelancing my ass off in the mean time.  Not something I look forward to, I’d much rather have a steady gig and make a little less money.   We’ll see though….too soon to really get worried about it.

Transplant Complete

June 11th, 2007 — 9:49am

The move to DC is complete and I have finished my first show out here in quite some time. Everything went pretty well (sans some gear problems) out at the park and look forward to whatever this area throws my way. More soon, still working on that whole moving and buying furniture thing…wee haa!
