Moving to DC and Twitter

March 30th, 2007 — 4:34pm

Yup.  I am officially moving to Washington, DC to start working there.  With a little luck this time I won’t need to move again anytime soon.  I don’t have all the details about the move just yet.

I am playing with Twitter to see what all the net buzz is about.  Basically, you send a short AIM or text message to the site about what your doing.   You can have a list of friends and as they update their “tweets” it can go so far as to send your cell a text.  Mainly…I find it interesting since I have integrated it into my site, which means I can update my where a abouts from the road.  Just a testing it to see it I like it.  You can see the live updates on my Myspace page or here on my sites sidebar.

My fashion debut

March 27th, 2007 — 8:09am

This goes to show how far I will go to help my friends and coworkers after a night of drinking at the infamous bar, Warrens, here in Houston. I will be appearing in the fashion show below wearing some sort of crazy bowling shirt. It should be a blast, now if I can just get my model walk down…can’t be much different than marching band right? Right!?

Qlab Adds Video Playback

March 10th, 2007 — 2:14pm

If you haven’t had the chance to check out Qlab yet now would be a great time. What is Qlab you ask? Well, it is Mac OSX show control software that is turning a lot of heads in the theatrical sound world. I dare say that Qlab is really on it’s way to challenge the widely popular SFX from Stage Research which operates on the Windows platform.

Many sound designers out there use the Mac OS as their core editing machine for music and effects. It’s been a long standing annoyance to try and have two different machines around to build shows. Qlab, seems to have come to the rescue. Not only does it run on the Mac but, it also does it extremely well.

Today, Qlab added video playback to the mix.

Qlab is still in it’s early stages in version 1.1.1. As new features are added this little app could become quite the juggernaut.

Lead Singer Of Boston Dies

March 9th, 2007 — 8:20pm

The very first band I ever played in when I was growing up was a classic rock cover band. And boy…did we play a lot of Boston tunes. Brad Delp, the lead singer of Boston died the other day. It’s a sad day for Boston fans everywhere.

Check out the story here.
