Christmas Carol Madness

November 16th, 2006 — 12:29pm

A good designer friend of mine once told me that your not truly initiated into professional theatre until you have run a least one Christmas Carol. I am currently in technical rehearsals for this show once again at The Alley Theatre in Houston. This marks the 4th time I have worked on a version of this play. It always interesting to see how the different companies put this production on…since many have slightly rewritten this classic tale to save on buying a preexisting script. The techs are fast and furious since these shows are mostly reassembled from last years production. So…hold onto your seat and watch this puppy fly! As they say in Texas….”Yeeeee HAAAA!”

Ben Folds and Deadly Birds

November 3rd, 2006 — 12:43pm

I went to check out Ben Folds perfrom with the Houston Orchestra the other night and it was totally amazing.
I had wished the show was a bit longer than 90 minutes however. Outside that night, before the concert it sounded like Houston was about to be invaded by birds. It was pretty freaky…this seems to happen quite a bit in downtown Houston.
