Sound Effect Libraries
So your all fired up and ready to get down to business eh? Even the best of personal sound libraries are missing some sounds you may need. Never fear though…the are literally hundreds of sound effect libraires out there to choose from. Here are a few of my reccomendations.
Sound Dogs:
For when you need a sound now! This online database includes many of the popular CD based libraries. The cost of the effects are reasonable, the cost of each item is determined on lenght and format.
Sound Ideas:
This company has been around for a long time. Chances are you have already heard a lot of these effects in one shape or another in your favorite movie, game, or live production. They continually add new libraries. These are issued via CD or DVD and come with a end user liscence.
Hollywood Edge:
Much like the Sound Ideas series, Hollywood Edge has been around for quite a while. They offer various effects series as well.
